I love this video by Tony Robbins I watch it at least 3 times a week as it keeps me grounded and helps me really appreciate the things that I have in my life. It’s not just about being more attractive to other people.
It also helps me look at the positive things in my life after all the traumatic events I have been through.
The start of the video is very true that you don’t want to be around negative and moaning people. In this current climate with house prices etc there is so much negativity its hard not to complain. But as property investors we need to stick together and keep ourselves motivated to keep moving forward, towards our goals and dreams. This is the reason you don’t want to be spending a lot of your time with negative or I call them ‘draining’ people. They suck the energy out of you.
Get yourself involved with a group of people that are positive and help you keep committed to your goals.
It doesn’t matter if your friends are not doing what you are doing but their energy will help you keep motivated and energised to help you appreciate life.
Tony’s’ video epitomizes what we expect from life versus appreciating what is already around us.
Every day we expect so much of ourselves yet we stop appreciating what we already have right in front of us.
This doesn’t mean we stop setting goals and or striving to achieve what we want out of life. But to actually enjoy and appreciate the journey we are on and the direction we want to go.
There are too many things that are out of our control, we just need to forget about that and focus on what we appreciate and can control on a daily basis.
At the age of 64 my dad was diagnosed with cancer which had come from no where, he was a fit and healthy farmer.
The cancer was so sever that he was given months to live. My family and I were devastated to say the least. Watching your father slowly die in front of you is not something I would wish on any body or family to go through. But we had to be strong for him and focus on all the amazing times we had together and really appreciate them as much as we could to help us overcome the grief of losing a father and husband.
We all still miss him dearly but it brings such a smile to our faces when we appreciate the great times we had together and how much we appreciated and loved him.
Life is not easy but if we can appreciate what we already have it will make it just that much better.
My life has taken a different turn but for the better after recovering from cancer in 2014. I have taken this opportunity to do the things I love and that is sharing my passion and knowledge. I have represented NZ at swimming. Made companies here in NZ and in London millions of dollars through sales and marketing. I have travelled around the world for 7 years. I’ve seen, worked for and been with some of the greatest entrepreneurs on the planet, Tony Robbins, Richard Branson and Richard Rothschild. With the right mind-set you can achieve anything, but you have to be prepared to work for it, nothing comes on a plate.
